The primary objective of the M.P.H.W course at Amritsar Institutes is to impart specialized knowledge and skill sets to students, equipping them to carry out core activities in the field of public health. This program focuses on the prevention and control of diseases that are of significant public health importance.

Multipurpose health workers serve as the grass-root functionaries for national health programs. They are trained to handle critical health issues, environmental sanitation, and act as the first line of defense during disease outbreaks.
