Goal and Competency

Post Basic B.Sc (Nursing) is a two-year degree course designed to provide additional skills to students with a nursing background. The goal of this programme at Amritsar College of Nursing is to provide education and competency in the field of nursing training with an emphasis on promotion of healthcare delivery systems of the country.

This course provides a unique opportunity to a large segment of GNM nurses to upgrade their knowledge and skills to respond to the changing health needs of society. It helps nurses maintain clinical competence while developing teaching, administration, and research skills.

A qualified RN through this program is capable of administering preventive, promotive, curative, and rehabilitative services to patients and communities at large. The curriculum focuses on leadership qualities and decision-making abilities to meet the growing requirements of emerging hospitals and research institutions.
